Southminster SIFT
Situated in the centre of the Dengie Peninsula, Southminster is home to approximately 4,000 people. It has retained much of its character over the years and the community benefits from two churches, a primary school, a GP surgery, several local shops and restaurants. Transport services are provided by bus links to Maldon and Chelmsford while an hourly rail service connects the village with services to Southend and London.
SIFT (Southminster in Future Times) is a group of local residents under the chairmanship of Roger Sinden, who are committed to producing a Parish Plan through consultation with residents and businesses in Southminster. These community led views will be incorporated into a Parish Plan Document which will highlight the issues and priorities identified by local people.
If you are a resident in Southminster, your input is essential in drawing up the future plan so please complete your questionnaire when it arrives through your door and return to SIFT.
